Unlock The Ashen Corsair Investigation and Claim the Ship's Riches

To unlock The Ashen Corsair investigation in Skull and Bones, you must first reach the Infamy rank of Buccaneer. Once you have achieved this rank, investigations and rumors become available to track and solve. Head to the Warehouse in Saint-Anne and look for a newspaper on its counter. Pick it up to start The Ashen Corsair investigation.

The Ashen Corsair investigation is a series of clues that you must follow to complete the quest. Each clue is documented in the Investigations tab of the Knowledge menu. After receiving a new clue, always check the Investigations tab to reveal the next step.

1. Plunder Guerande settlement: Your first step is to plunder the Guerande settlement located just south of Saint-Anne. Completing the first wave of the plunder will provide you with a new investigation clue.

2. Find the message in a bottle: According to the notes, you should next find the message in a bottle in the West Basin region. Head to the Ile Michel outpost in the West Basin region and search for the bottle. It may spawn between the smaller islands south of the outpost or right in front of the outpost. Look for a golden glow in the sea.

3. Hunt down The Ashen Corsair: The message in the bottle reveals that pirates are planning a mutiny on The Ashen Corsair near the Three Brothers outpost. Sail close to the outpost and The Ashen Corsair will spawn near the islands. Attack The Ashen Corsair and board it once it's low on health. Collect as much silver as you can and read the final note in the investigations tab to complete the quest.
