The Fortnite TMNT collaboration has reached new heights with the Cowabunga event. This crossover with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brings its own event pass, challenges, and rewards. Running from Feb. 9 to 27, players can enjoy some TMNT fun in Fortnite Battle Royale.

What is Fortnite's Cowabunga event?

Fortnite's Cowabunga event is a crossover with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It features its own event pass, challenges, and rewards. There are a total of 22 rewards to earn, with 11 available for free and 11 as part of the upgraded event pass (1,000 V-Bucks).

The Cowabunga event also introduces a series of quests as part of the Splinter Assignment: The Ooze War quest collection. Here are the quests and phases:

Phase No. 1: Stick to the Shadows

  • Travel through sewer pipes in different Fortnite matches (400 Ooze)
  • Damage opponents with suppressed weapons (300 Ooze)
  • Search a Ninja Turtle Supply Drop (400 Ooze)
  • Use the EMP Stealth Camo item (300 Ooze)
  • Destroy Objects (300 Ooze)
  • Visit the lair and then travel East (300 Ooze)
  • Purchase Ninja Turtle Weapons from vending machines (300 Ooze)
  • Do an impossible difficulty trick on a Driftboard (300 Ooze)

Phase No. 2: Gear Up!

  • Hire a character (400 Ooze)
  • Have a hired follower eliminate an opponent (300 Ooze)
  • Collect weapons from supply drones in Hot Spots (400 Ooze)
  • Spend bars at Mending Machines (300 Ooze)
  • Crack opponent's shields (300 Ooze)
  • Damage opponents with Ninja Turtle weapons (300 Ooze)
  • Emote in different matches (300 Ooze)
  • Spin degrees while airborne and on foot (300 Ooze)

Phase No. 3: Cowabunga Clash

These quests will be available on Feb. 15 at 8am CT. Players must complete five Phase 2 quests to unlock Phase 3.

Additional Ways to Earn Rewards

Players can also earn all the rewards through Creative maps, with a significant XP requirement for each phase. The first phase, for example, requires 65,000 XP. If players prefer not to complete the quests, they can simply earn XP in Creator Made Islands.
