PGL Copenhagen Major American RMR: Qualifiers, Format, and Schedule

The PGL Copenhagen Major is just around the corner, and the American qualifiers are set to bring the heat. With only five teams out of hundreds making it through the open qualifiers, the stakes are high. Here is everything you need to know about the PGL Copenhagen Major American RMR.

Format

The American RMR will feature sixteen teams from North and South America competing in a Swiss bracket format. Teams will be seeded based on their current records in the American RMR, and they will play head-to-head matches. A team needs to win three matches to secure a spot in the PGL Copenhagen Major, while two losses will result in elimination. The competition is fierce, with big names like Complexity, Team Liquid, and FURIA battling it out for a chance to represent the region at the first CS2 Major.

Seeding

Once the teams have qualified for the Major, they will be seeded into the Elimination Stage and Opening Stage based on Valve's regional standings. The top-seeded team will proceed directly to the Elimination Stage, while the remaining four teams will have to fight their way through the Opening Stage.

Schedule and Results

The PGL Copenhagen Major American RMR kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 17. The top five teams from the RMR will qualify for the Major, while the rest will be eliminated. The schedule for the American RMR is yet to be determined, so stay tuned for updates.
