Introduction

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players have the opportunity to ride bony, undead horses called Stalhorses. While not as fast or customizable as regular horses, finding and riding a Stalhorse can be a fun experience in the game.

Finding Stalhorses

To find a Stalhorse, players need to head to the Sanidin Park Ruins at coordinates -1645, -0684, 0136. These skeleton creatures only appear at night, so if it's still daytime, players can start a campfire by dropping wood and flint on the ground and striking it with a metal weapon to quickly pass the time.

Catching a Stalhorse

When the moon arrives, Stalhorses will spawn near the west side of the ruins. Players can sneak up to one or use their paraglider to fly down to it. Unlike regular horses, Stalhorses do not need to be soothed before riding.

Registering Stalhorses

Unfortunately, players cannot register Stalhorses with the stable system. When approaching a stable, the stablemaster will react with fear and there is no option to register the Stalhorse.

The Horse Guard's Request

However, there is still a use for Stalhorses. A stablehand named Toffa at the Outskirts Stable, located at coordinates -1445, -1251, 0034, is interested in seeing a skeleton horse up close. Players can bring a Stalhorse to Toffa to start the quest 'The Horse Guard's Request'. By riding the Stalhorse to the stable and approaching Toffa, players will trigger a dialogue box and receive a reward of 50 Rupees and a Pony Point.

Conclusion

While Stalhorses cannot be kept or registered like regular horses, they provide a unique and rewarding experience in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Players can find and ride these undead creatures, and even complete a quest for a special reward. So, saddle up and embark on an adventure with a Stalhorse today!
